We are proud to announce here at RLS2000.com, INC. our newest feature, QR codes for websites! They have been added to all of our customer websites for no charge and you as an agent do not have to do anything! When a visitor clicks on print they will have a QR code printed right on the listing sheet.
What is a QR code exactly? A QR code or Quick Response Code is really a type of barcode. The difference is that they can be used to hold all sorts of information from website links, text, or even contact information. And how do you use them? All you have to do is scan them! Nearly every smart phone has the ability to read them or a free app you can download from the market. QR codes are every where now and now you have them too! If you are interested in more information here is a great article on QR codes, what they are, and what they can be used for.
As always RLS2000.com will keep you ahead of the competition. With the change in the Real Estate market it has become more and more important to have the tools RLS2000.com offers to help you be successful in today’s market! Look out for new changes, as we have many more things coming your way this year including customized QR codes and custom built virtual tour videos for your Youtube account.
The question is what is a potential home buyer or seller worth to you? If you can put a dollar amount on it then it will give you a good starting point of what you would pay for that lead. First and foremost you need a good internet presence. Having a good Website, Blog, Facebook business page, Twitter and You tube account are all great ways to be found organically in the search engines. A great product that does just that is the website packages that RLS2000.com offers. Their Pro Gold package gives you all of the above and will give the potential buyers/sellers many options to be found in internet searches.
Pay per click is a very good way to be found and you can pinpoint what search results you want to show up under. Some of the benefits of pay per click are you can get really fast results and usually start to see results in just a few days. The best way to get good results is to think of some keyword phrases that you would type to find properties for sale in your market area. For example let us say you sell a lot of Real Estate in Worcester MA. Then a good keyword phrase would be “Worcester MA Real Estate.” Go to this website www.semrush.com and you can see how many searches there were last month for that phrase and what you would pay per click if someone searched and clicked on your website. Your results will determine if it is worth it or not. If there were 64 seconds last month for “Worcester MA Real Estate” and you paid $2.00 per click and 40 people clicked on your website then you pay $80.00 that month. If you got one customer from that it would be worth it.
With Pay Per click you have to be careful because it could get expensive, so you may want to put a cap on what you will pay a month for that keyword or phrase. Of course there is always the chance your rival competitive agent that knows you have Pay per Click, could put you in the poor house by simply clicking away all your money. Having a great website with the right keywords, social media and strategy could bring you the same results and a lot cheaper.

A blog is a marathon not a sprint. Becoming an effective blogger takes time, discipline and creativity.
Creating and maintaining an effective blog does not happen by accident.
Here are some tips on setting goals for your blog.
Be Goal Oriented. Having a goal is the first step to achieving it.
Create a road map for your blog, decide where you want to go and then decide how you will get there. A written plan usually works best.
Answer questions like who is your audience?
What do they want to talk about? Read about?
Where is your blog headed? Does it have a theme? Is it strictly business or will you include personal anecdotes?
How many readers would you like to have after one month? Six months? A year? How often and when will you blog?
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s blogging tip on blogging strategy.
Great news. You don’t need 25 likes anymore to get your Facebook vanity URL. You can use a Facebook vanity URL just like a website address. It is a great way to direct people to your business page, use on advertisements, listing fliers, business cards and postcards.
To get your url go to
www.facebook.com/username

Choose your desired name to see if it is available. Once you choose your vanity URL you cannot change it.

Connect your personal profile to your business page. Ok, I know you are going to say you can’t do this but you can in a way.
A Facebook personal profile shows personal info at the top of your profile. This section contains your job title and place of work. Notice that the place of work is a clickable link.

, you don’t have to fill out all these fields, if you want leave them blank and they will not appear. As you can see from mine I only have a few filled out.
Now go to your Facebook profile and make sure you are on the “Profile” view by clicking on Profile in the upper right corner. When you do that the screen below should appear. Then go up to the top of your profile and mouse over your Employer field – if you didn’t place anything in the employer field you would mouse over “Add your current work information”. Now by default, when Facebook changed your profile to the new design, it automatically hyperlinked your EMPLOYER field to an auto-generated COMMUNITY PAGE! For a full explanation of Community Pages and what you need to know, see this post.
What we want to do is replace that default Community Page with your Fan Page. Now if you work for yourself and have a Fan Page or you work for someone whom does you will want to link to that Fan Page. This is an awesome way to promote your Fan Page that most people miss completely.
The process to add your Facebook Fan Page as your Employer is done here in 6 easy steps:
1. Click Edit Profile > then go to the Education and Work section.
2. Begin typing the name of your fan page in the Employer field.
3. If your fan page appears in the drop down menu, select it, by clicking on it.
4. Then fill out the remaining fields (Position, City/Town, Description and Time Period). If you also add in any business partners/colleagues, this will show on their profile too under the Employer section.
5. When you are done, Click Add Job.
Now if it does go just as I said here, there is a Ninja workaround which takes a tad of techie knowledge. See this helpful tutorial.
The finished product will look like the below, this when somebody mouses over your Employer page. And if they click on it it will take them to my Fan Page.

Letting people know about your Facebook business page can sometimes be a challenge. Try using Facebook as your business page. Instead of writing posts and posting on walls as you, Facebook lets you function as your business page.
Go to your Facebook business page. On the right side you will see “Use Facebook as…”
Make sure to do this on Facebook pages that makes sense to your business. Think about liking other pages as your page too. For example, like and comment on community pages, give your favorite local businesses a comment or job well done as your page.
When you post as your page it allows all of the fans of the other page to become aware of your page and creates a click-able link back to your page.

Use social media and your website to promote your Facebook page. Make sure that all of your social media and your website cross promote each other.
A great example is to provide clickable links to each from the other. Check out how RLS2000 has helped top agent Ryan Seward promote his sites by clicking here.

Make sure to provide links to other sites, promote recent Facebook Page posts via a link on Twitter and post your blog posts on your Facebook page.
If you would like to know more about how RLS2000 helped Ryan and lots of other agents combine their social media with their website increasing their web traffic ten-fold email us at jill@rls2000.com
Every good marketer knows you need a call to action. Believe it or not many people that go to your Facebook business page don’t know to click the “like” button. They need instructions. Having a professional looking landing page on your Facebook page shows your visitor that this is a professional business page. Every landing page should have a call to action to “like” the page.
Here is an example of an RLS2000 Facebook landing page.
